I know I’ve been quiet about Zombie Love Studios recently, but I promise that announcements are coming soon.
What Zombie Love is all about
With Zombie Love Studios, I hope to be a voice in horror. You know how, places like Blumhouse have done a type of movie that feels like Blumhouse.
Well, we want to tell stories that feel like Zombie Love stories, in the sense that they have a really clear voice that has some social relevance, but not to the point where it overwhelms the story. I want human stories set in a horrific setting.
Let’s just say story arc 6 of Killadelphia is going to be really fun!!
Now that I have my own company, you never know what can happen. A lot of my works are still under my control, and you never know when a character will pop up in one world from another. It’s kind of like how Stephen King will put a reference to Cujo in newer books - a hint to let readers know the possibility is there. Or like he does with Salem’s Lot, where you have something so ancient it can’t help but be a part of the larger thing. With me, you never know when Blacula might show up.
It’s shaping up to be an interesting year for us.
Announcements are coming soon, especially leading up to New York Comic Con. We’re already gearing up for Florence and Normandie with rapper/actor Xzibit.
Florence & Normandie: Coming Soon!
From Zombie Love Studios comes a new tale of monsters and mayhem!
Down on his luck, Malik, an intelligent, young black man with an engineering degree— delivers fast food just to make ends meet. His girlfriend left him, his grandmother thinks he’s a disappointment, and his ambitions and hope are slipping away. He doesn’t think his life could get any worse…until an APB of a suspected criminal that matches Malik’s description puts him in direct odds with Officer Brown, a cop with a chip on his shoulder who is looking for any excuse to escalate the situation.
Now, Florence and Normandie - the cross-street infamously known as the flashpoint of the 1992 LA Riots - may just be the last thing Malik sees if he makes one wrong move…but little does he know that this landmark corner is about to find itself at the center of another seminal moment of American history: The world’s first alien invasion.
Can these two men, from polar opposite backgrounds, put aside their differences and stop fighting each other long enough to find a way to save Los Angeles… or will they kill each other first?
The story comes from legendary Rapper/Actor @xzibit and myself, with art from @wayshak and @margalotto.
Florence & Normandie is coming soon and will be a 5 chapter graphic novel.
