Zombie Love Studios is my own publishing imprint that is starting in January 2023 with the first publication being my new graphic novel Blacula.
After the initial launch of Zombie Love Studios and the release of Blacula, the plan, as of now at least, is to release new trades monthly of other books that we are currently assembling now. Each book will have it’s own trademark and will fall into the horror or mystery category.
Each one will be around 120 pages and we will offer both hardcovers and softcovers. We are taking our time to make sure these book are more prestigious than your typical floppies. It’s important to me and the team for our books to look good on your bookshelves.
Celebrity talent is attached to some of these upcoming projects , but I can’t talk about that just yet.
Let’s look at some of the projects.
Blacula
Zombie Love Studios will launch in January 2023 with Blacula.
The cult classic horror character is returning in a new graphic novel from artist Jason Shawn Alexander and myself. The Blacula graphic novel has long been a passion project for me and I cannot wait for you guys to get your hands on it.
Tales from the Crip
I’m teaming up with my good friend Snoop Dogg for Tales from the Crip, a horror anthology in the tradition of the classic EC Comics featuring urban themed horror stories. I will pen while Snoop Dogg will introduce the stories.
The Butcher of Black Bottom
If you’re a fan of Killadelphia then you won’t want to miss my next horror epic dubbed The Butcher of Black Bottom. Argentinian artist Germán Erramouspe will be handling the art for this one.
The Butcher of Black Bottom is a slasher horror set in 1920’s Detroit, a time when the city is seeing a large influx of African American migrants from the South and racial tensions are reaching a boiling point. To make things worse, a titular serial killer is on the loose and bringing that boil to raging fire.
The Butcher of Black Bottom speaks to the struggle to find racial harmony in a post-Civil War America, where the migration of blacks from the South meets an industrializing North wrestling with its own issues. As one might imagine finding peace at this time was no easy chore.
The Butcher of Black Bottom part one is out on my Substack channel, Dark Apocrypha Presents, and will later be released in print form through Zombie Love Studios.

Killadelphia Hardcover
Finally, Killadelphia is getting a stunning hardcover featuring the first 12 issues plus bonus content.
When a small-town beat cop comes home to bury his murdered father, revered Philadelphia detective James Sangster Sr., he stumbles into a mystery that will lead him down a path of horrors and shake his beliefs to their core. The city that was once the symbol of liberty and freedom has fallen prey to corruption, poverty, unemployment, brutality…and vampires. Now, it’s up to Jimmy and an unexpected companion to stop long-thought-dead president of the United States John Adams from building an undead army and staging a bloody new American revolution. There’s a reason they say you can’t go home again.
Featured in the hardcover copy will be Killadelphia #1-12 and chapters 1-5 of my terrifying werewolf tie-in story Elysium Gardens.
Killadelphia Book One will be available on November 16th 2022. You can buy your copies here.
