Winning Time Season 2 - This Sunday!
“Winning Time” is a captivating dramatization that delves into the professional and personal lives of the iconic Los Angeles Lakers basketball teams in the 1980s. The first season primarily focuses on the 1979-1980 NBA season, showcasing the tenure of Jerry Buss as owner and the rookie year of the legendary Magic Johnson.
But we’re back for Season Two and there is a lot in store!
Dynasties aren’t built… They’re taken!
Season One of the show was the story of the team coming together and winning its first championship - we’ve always been interested in what comes after that though.
In a traditional sports story the team comes together, wins, and then they walk off into the sunset. But this series isn’t about one championship, it’s about a dynasty, and what comes after winning that first ring.
For this upcoming season, we honed in on the period just after the finals in 1980 and carry it through 1984, culminating to the first professional rematch of the era’s greatest stars: Magic Johnson and Larry Bird… The two men who turned basketball into the crucible of American culture that it became.
I’m so excited for you all to see all the hard work that was put into this second season.
Season Two of “Winning Time” is yours this Sunday, August 6th.
Check out a sneak peek below.
The future of sports is purple and gold. New decade. New season.

Luke Cage: Gang War
Just because you’re the mayor of New York City doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still get your hands dirty… Especially when you’re Lucas Cage!
The one-time Power Man is rolling up his sleeves for a new three-part series tying into the upcoming 'Gang War' crossover event from Marvel Comics. In Luke Cage: Gang War, the hero in higher office steps out from the mayor's desk to help stem the tide as NYC erupts in a brutal gang war.
“In the wake of the Anti-Vigilante Act, Luke has been trying to save the city from behind a desk," reads Marvel's description of Luke Cage: Gang War #1. "But a meeting with old friend DANNY RAND reminds him of the good old days when problems could be punched in order to solve them. As New York descends into a GANG WAR, Luke must use every power he has to protect the innocent and save his city!"
I’ll be penning the series while Ramon F. Bachs will handle the art.
Luke Cage: Gang War #1 (of 3) debuts this November, and will run monthly through January 2024.

Alice Cooper #1 Coming in October
In this new tale of terror, legendary rock acts are being attacked by demonic forces and Alice starts to notice some of his own fans happen to be… undead.
I’ve always been a fan of Alice Cooper's pulse-pounding music. He used to come on a lot of talk shows and was a prominent figure on the radio stations my mom listened to. She bought a lot of Alice's albums and I listened to them. "School's Out," "I'm Eighteen," and "No More Mr. Nice Guy" stand out as tracks I dug. I was also attracted to his look and stage presence. With all that said, you can only imagine how exciting this one is for me!
The forces of evil are looking for a different entry point to dealing with the forces of light. The conflict is driven by envy on the musical front, but there's something more insidious beneath it all.
Among the start-studded crew of cover artists for this series is my frequent collaborator, Jason Shawn Alexander. Plus, the incredibly talented Stuart Sayger and Andrew Mangum join in, along with a photo cover of the bombastic lead singer and a blank cover so fans can draw original sketches. Oh, and all of these covers will be cardstock!
