It’s been a busy last few months, but new things are coming!

‘SHOOK! A BLACK HORROR ANTHOLOGY’

Second Sight Publishing and John Jennings Studio LLC will release Shook!, A Black Horror Anthology, a 160-page horror anthology collecting EC-style stories by a range of award-winning Black writers, in 2023. The anthology was inspired by a love of what Jennings calls Southern Gothic horror.

I’m excited to announce that I am one of the writers that will be involved in this project!

Writers on the project will include myself, Hugo Award winner John Jennings, Eisner Award nominee Kevin Grevioux, Eisner Award winner David Walker, Glyph Comics Award winner Alverne Ball, Glyph Comics Award nominee Marcus H. Roberts, Glyph nominee Bradley Golden, and Eisner Award nominee Brandon Easton. The collection will also include a story written by actor Evan Parke (Captain America and the Winter Soldier, King Kong).

Artists in the volume include Flavio Cortes, Charlie Goubile, Jamal Williams, Roberto Castro, David Brame, Glenn D. Brown, and Shawn Alleyne.

The project is currently raising funding on Kickstarter (with retailer tiers), with a planned release to backers in March 2023.  Mainstream distribution to stores will follow three months after the Kickstarter release.

Killadelphia Book One

Killadelphia Deluxe Hardcover Book One will hit shelves this November from Image Comics. The book will be a collection of the first 12 issues of the series, plus all five chapters of the terrifying werewolf tie-in story Elysium Gardens.

Killadelphia Deluxe Hardcover Book One will be available on Wednesday, November 16 and in bookstores on Tuesday, November 22. It can be found at local comic book shops, independent bookstores, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, and Indigo.

Killadelphia # 25

My Eisner Award-nominated horror series returns with the first issue of a brand new arc. Vampire king and first President of the United States George Washington has unified the warring vampire factions blurring the lines between good and evil. Now Washington and co. must face one of the most formidable military leaders in history! General Toussaint Louverture and his Haitian army have been resurrected by the side of the light for one thing and one thing only: exterminate all vampires!

This addition will also be available as a NOIR EDITION with black and white line art interiors!

Killadelphia #25 will be available on November 30th here and at your local comic book store.

Killadelphia # 26

The war has begun! Vampire king President George Washington leads SeeSaw and his vampire army against Toussaint Louverture and his Haitian guardians. But with the strength of the National Guard against them as well, this might very well spell an extinction era for all vampires, including James Sangster!

Like issue #25, this issue will also be available in NOIR EDITION, featuring black-and-white line art interiors!

Killadelphia #26 will be available on December 28th here and at your local comic books shop.

Killadelphia # 27

Killadelphia will continue with issue #27 coming January 25th, 2023.

Zombie Love Studios is my own publishing imprint that is starting in January 2023 with the first publication being my new graphic novel Blacula.

After the initial launch of Zombie Love Studios and the release of Blacula, the plan, as of now at least, is to release new trades monthly of other books that we are currently assembling now. Each book will have it’s own trademark and will fall into the horror or mystery category.

Each one will be around 120 pages and we will offer both hardcovers and softcovers. We are taking our time to make sure these book are more prestigious than your typical floppies. It’s important to me and the team for our books to look good on your bookshelves.

Celebrity talent is attached to some of these upcoming projects , but I can’t talk about that just yet.
