Inspired by the likes of Attack the Block and War of the Worlds, Monarch follows a young teen named Trayvon living in Compton, who wakes up one morning to find the world forever changed when humanity has its first contact with an alien civilization. But when things go a little more Independence Day than they do Star Trek, Trayvon finds himself thrust into the unlikely role of protector and survivor as human kind is assaulted by an overwhelming alien force.
Growing up in the city of Compton is tough enough as it is, but as Travon has learned all too well growing up as an orphan in the city of Compton with gang members hunting you down every day is even tougher. But all of that is about to change because today is the day that aliens make first contact with Earth-and it only spells doom for life as we know it!

The clan of two will be back at Marvel Comics.
The Mandalorian Season 2, an eight-issue adaptation of the second season of the hit Disney+ series, is on the way. Like Marvel’s first The Mandalorian series, every issue will retell the story of one episode. The Mandalorian Season 2 will begin with “Chapter 9: The Marshal,” adapting a memorable episode in which Mando encounters Marshal Cobb Vanth, setting the stage for major events to come.
Adapting The Mandalorian has been a pure treat! The series embodies all aspects of the Star Wars universe: the myth, the mystery, and spectacle that made me fall in love with it so long ago. It’s an honor to be part of this project and I can’t wait to continue it with season 2!
